Website visitors and subscribers
When a person interacts with the website and subscribes to updates, buildGTM may collect:
- Information provided directly – such as an email address when a person subscribes to Build Check notifications or makes contact.
- Technical and usage data – anonymised or pseudonymous information from analytics tools, such as page views, events, device type, browser, and general interaction patterns.

- Account identifiers – name, email address, and authentication details.
- Business-related content – information the user chooses to enter in the app, such as notes, reflections, or other text about revenue motion or related topics.
The app is designed for business users. It is not intended for storing sensitive personal data about individuals, customer records, or confidential financial information. Users should avoid entering:
- personally identifiable information about customers or staff
- account numbers, payment card details, or login credentials for other systems
- detailed revenue figures or customer lists, unless buildGTM has expressly agreed a secure use case for that information.
If buildGTM becomes aware that sensitive information has been entered in a way that is not appropriate for the app, steps may be taken to remove it or the user may be asked to do so.
4.How information is used
Information is used only for the purposes described in this Statement. buildGTM does not sell data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

- improve the app and develop new features, including by analysing usage patterns in aggregate.
buildGTM may generate anonymised or aggregated insights from app usage. These insights will not identify an individual person or specific business and may be used internally or shared publicly in a non-identifiable form.
5.Third-party services
A small number of third-party services are used to run the website and manage communications. As of July 2026, these include:
- Analytics provider – used to collect privacy-friendly, anonymised page view and event data. Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies and stores anonymised data only.
- Web session recording – used to understand how people interact with the site through session recordings and heatmaps. Cookies and similar technologies may be used to provide these insights.
- Email provider – used to store email addresses collected through subscription forms and to send Build Check notifications and other opt-in communications from buildGTM.
- Calendar bookings – when a person clicks a meeting-booking link on the website, they may be taken to Cal.com or another scheduling provider, which may collect information under its own privacy policy and terms.
6.Legal bases and privacy principles
Where laws such as GDPR or UK GDPR apply, buildGTM typically relies on:
- Contract – to provide app features or consulting services that have been requested.
- Legitimate interests – to perform security logging, non-intrusive analytics, and service improvement, balanced against user rights and expectations.
- Consent – for optional email communications and, in regions where required, for certain cookies or similar technologies.
In Australia and other jurisdictions, similar privacy principles are applied in line with local laws, including the Australian Privacy Principles.
7.Retention
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to provide services and meet legal or operational requirements.
In general:
- Website analytics data is retained for limited periods consistent with measurement and security needs.

- request deletion of app account data or removal from mailing lists, subject to any retention required for legal or operational reasons.
If a person is located in a region with specific privacy rights, additional rights may apply under those laws.
9.Security
buildGTM and its providers implement technical and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, proportionate to the nature of the data and risks involved.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but reasonable steps are taken to safeguard information and to choose reputable infrastructure and service providers.
